Mora and Cimarron are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rangers are taking a road trip to square off against the Rams at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mora has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mora's offense. They lost 14-0 to Santa Rosa on Thursday. The Rangers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Gateway Christian hit Cimarron with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-2. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cimarron saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Gonzales, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Taven Martinez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Mora's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cimarron, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mora has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cimarron struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Mora suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Cimarron when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
