Recap: Muckleshoot Tribal Kings vs. Sound Christian Lions

The Muckleshoot Tribal Kings waltzed into their game on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They came out on top against Sound Christian by a score of 61-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Muckleshoot Tribal also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Alexeev, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Alexeev has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 17 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kona Resseau, who scored 15 points.

Muckleshoot Tribal pushed their record up to 18-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Sound Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muckleshoot Tribal will take on Mount Vernon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Muckleshoot Tribal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 221 points over their last three matchups. As for Sound Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulalip Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sound Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
