While Sycamore's win against Princeton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Aviators had just enough and edged out the Vikings 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Aviators in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Kaitlyn Gambaccini was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maddy Friedersdorf, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

The win got Sycamore back to even at 4-4. As for Princeton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sycamore will square off against Colerain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Aviators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Princeton, they will be playing at home against Walnut Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
