Basketball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Rams vs. Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds
The John Carroll Catholic Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lincoln Park Academy as John Carroll Catholic made off with a 78-56 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Carroll Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Collin Jefferson, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Caden Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Several Greyhounds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Franco Monaco, who scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Shaun Williams, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for John Carroll Catholic and bumps their season record up to 10-14. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
John Carroll Catholic will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jensen Beach has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 183 points over their last three matches. Lincoln Park Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
