There's no place like home for Hereford, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Thursday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Borger Bulldogs  5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Whitefaces have posted  since March 8, 2024.
  Lexi Vallejo was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lia Gaytan, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base.
Hereford's  win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-12. As for Borger, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last nine matches. That's still a better percentage than their 5-20 record  this season.
 Coincidentally, Hereford and Borger will both be playing Perryton the next time they take the field. Hereford will  host Perryton at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Borger will head out to face them  at 4:30  p.m.  on March 25th.
