Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Braves vs. Benjamin Logan Raiders

The Shawnee Braves will take on the Benjamin Logan Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shawnee is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Shawnee is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Cedarville on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Shawnee came up short against Cedarville, falling 65-40. The Braves were down 52-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Logan posted their biggest victory since November 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They blew past Triad 49-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Benjamin Logan, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.

Shawnee was able to grind out a solid victory over Benjamin Logan when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 46-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shawnee since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
