Baseball Recap: Higley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Higley entered their tilt with Williams Field on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Black Hawks. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 win the Black Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Higley got a great performance from Ryan Birch as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Birch a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ty Henze, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Higley's record is now 16-9. As for Williams Field, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10.

Higley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Black Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
