Basketball Recap: Floresville Tigers/Jaguars vs. Davenport Wolves
Floresville and Davenport squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Floresville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Davenport Wolves by a score of 57-55. While losing is never fun, the Tigers/Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Wolves are ranked 143rd).
Despite the loss, Floresville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amariah Ruiz posted 16 points. Jordin Johns was another key player, putting up 11 points and six assists.
