Basketball Recap: New Designs University Park Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

New Designs University Park extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Daviandre Davis. The New Designs University Park Cardinals managed a 53-49 win over the New Designs Watts Knights on Monday thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Nicholas Hambrick was another key player, putting up six assists and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Despite the defeat, New Designs Watts saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Magic Haynes dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards. Another player making a difference was Brian Jones Jr, who went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points and four blocks.

New Designs University Park's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for New Designs Watts, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-12 record.
