Recap: Lewisburg Patriots vs. Hartfield Academy Hawks
On Tuesday, Lewisburg made easy work of Hartfield Academy and carried off a 60-40 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lewisburg.
Lewisburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allison Irby, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Irby has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Allie Carroll, who scored 14 points.
Lewisburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Hartfield Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewisburg is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Independence's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Lewisburg's offense will have their work cut out for Lewisburg. As for Hartfield Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Leake Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leake Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
