Volleyball Recap: Palm Beach Central Beats Leonard for Their Third Straight Victory

Palm Beach Central waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Leonard Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

Palm Beach Central never let Leonard on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Gian Paul Aviles paced Palm Beach Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Aviles got some help from Matthew Carr and his 25 assists. Aviles was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Palm Beach Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Palm Beach Central will challenge Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leonard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Atlantic Christian on the 16th.
