Baseball Game Preview: Greeneview Rams vs. Cedarville Indians

For the second straight game, Greeneview will face off against Cedarville. The Rams will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Greeneview will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Monday, Greeneview made easy work of Cedarville and carried off a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Max Penrod made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. Another player making a difference was Lyriq Abling, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Greeneview pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Cedarville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.
