Volleyball Recap: Thayer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Thayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Eminence Redwings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2017.

While Thayer was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Eminence's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-15, 28-26.

Avery Bowers paced Thayer's offense, picking up ten kills. Bowers got some help from Hattie Haynes and her 17 assists. Bowers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Thayer's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Eminence, they now have a winning record of 14-13-1.

Thayer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Couch on the 9th. As for Eminence, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Summersville on the 9th.
