Softball Recap: Washington Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

While Washington put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Morton. The Panthers blew past the Potters 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Morton, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington is set to take on their familiar foe Metamora at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 1.8, the Redbirds 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Morton will square off against rival Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
