Soccer Recap: Meridian Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Wakefield

There's no place like home for Meridian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wakefield Warriors a 2-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Meridian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Wakefield, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meridian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Millbrook at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Wakefield, they will head out to face off against South County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
