Baseball Recap: Appleton West Takes a Loss

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plymouth Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Terrors have suffered since April 22, 2025.

Cooper Weigman made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Plymouth, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Coming up, Appleton West will be playing in front of their home fans against Oshkosh North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth, they are taking a road trip to square off against West Bend East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
