Football Recap: Exeter Comes Up Short

Exeter came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Washington Union Panthers, falling 31-0. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Exeter now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Washington Union, their record is now 5-2.

Coming up, Exeter will venture away from home to face off against Hanford West at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Monarchs will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Washington Union, they will host Reedley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Mckinley Williams and Will Bacon.
