Basketball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Takes a Loss

Thornton Fractional South lost against Thornwood back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves fell just short of the Thornwood Thunderbirds by a score of 63-61.

Thornwood found their leader in freshman Lester Watson, who went 9 of 14 en route to 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Godwin Okorie, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Thornton Fractional South's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Thornwood, their record is now 6-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Richards the next time they take the court. Thornwood will head out to face Richards at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025, while Thornton Fractional South will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
