League recap: Prestonsburg gains ground in national rankings

Prestonsburg made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,833 from 7,160. The improvement was the result of 41-18 victory over Pike County Central last week.
Betsy Layne led 2A District 8 in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Jenkins.
Prestonsburg's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Black Cats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jarredd Jarrell has thrown for 2357 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, while Grant Anderson has 57 catches for 1003 yards. Jarrell also leads the league in rushing with 516 yards.
