Baseball Recap: Nash Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Nash Central entered their tilt with Rocky Mount on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Gryphons with a sharp 9-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Peyton Harris tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Nash Central let Tanner Moss and Jackson Lynch run wild. Moss scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Lynch scored two runs and stole a base. Moss has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Parks, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Nash Central's record now sits at 10-3. As for Rocky Mount, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Nash Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gryphons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
