Baseball Recap: Finneytown Takes a Loss

Finneytown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Mariemont Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.

Kendall Richard was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Finneytown's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mariemont, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Finneytown will be playing in front of their home fans against Reading at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Blue Devils have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mariemont, they will host Indian Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
