Williamsport had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They blew past the Shamokin Area Indians 8-1.

Williamsport pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Shamokin Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
