Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Desert Christian Academy

Desert Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Twentynine Palms Wildcats 76-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Conquerors also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Desert Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Augustine Youssef, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards. Youssef's evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Garrison, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 boards.

Desert Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Twentynine Palms, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Desert Christian Academy will welcome Nuview Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Nuview Bridge likes a good challenge. As for Twentynine Palms, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-48 defeat against Rubidoux on the 17th.
