While losing is never fun, the Devildogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Bobcats are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, Berea came into Friday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Pickens, posting a 64-32 victory. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Berea's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-9. As for Travelers Rest, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Travelers Rest came up short against Berea when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 60-51. Can Travelers Rest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
