B District 5 Top Player Performances of the Week

Nate Kelley Dazzles in Scottsbluff Victory

Starting off the list is Scottsbluff's Nate Kelley, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Kelley rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 71 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The win (which was Scottsbluff's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Kelley's next matchup is against York on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Cesar Cano continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. He rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending two passes.
