New London came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Ledyard Colonels 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-2 back in April.

New London pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Ledyard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Coming up, New London will take on Wheeler at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Ledyard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
