Volleyball Recap: North Chicago Warhawks vs. Grayslake North Knights
North Chicago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grayslake North Knights. If the Warhawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10.
Hugo Vences paced North Chicago's offense, picking up two kills. Vences got some help from Brian Bueno and his two assists. Finally, Justin Ayala kept North Chicago's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Among those leading the charge was Alex Christoffel, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs he has posted over his last eight matches. Josh Hercog also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
