Softball Recap: Muir Has No Trouble Against Burbank

Muir lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Burbank, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Muir is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Burbank, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14-1.

Muir does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burbank, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hoover at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Tornados at the right time seeing as the Tornados are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
