Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Lake). Everything went their way against the Merryville Panthers on Tuesday as they made off with a 23-6 win. The Hornets are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Grand Lake's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Merryville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Grand Lake will head out to face off against Sam Houston at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Merryville will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' game: after the Hornets faces off against the Broncos, they'll take on Merryville again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
