Basketball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 45-10 defeat at the hands of the Sutherlin Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 72nd).

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Sutherlin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will welcome South Umpqua at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sutherlin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coquille at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
