Volleyball Game Preview: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Northumberland Indians

The Westmoreland Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Northumberland Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Westmoreland is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Lancaster just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Red Devils. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 25-19 in the first set.

Westmoreland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-7, 25-20.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northumberland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Essex 3-0 on Thursday.

Westmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Northumberland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Westmoreland was able to grind out a solid win over Northumberland when the teams last played on October 2nd, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
