Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Lafayette Jefferson

Lafayette Jefferson not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Crawfordsville Athenians as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bronchos also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Lafayette Jefferson walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-21.

Kevin Braxton paced Lafayette Jefferson's offense, picking up seven kills. Braxton got some help from Erik Ayala Gallardo and his 12 assists. Brody Bettag controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lafayette Jefferson pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Crawfordsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette Jefferson will square off against Guerin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crawfordsville, they will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
