Soccer Game Preview: Giles County vs. Shelbyville Central

The Giles County Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Giles County's last match might've seen two goals scored, but the final result was still a bit underwhelming. They and Zion Christian Academy finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Shelbyville Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 5-2 to Central Magnet.

Shelbyville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-1. Giles County's draw gives them a new season record of 5-6-4.

Everything went Giles County's way against Shelbyville Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2016, as Giles County made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
