Softball Game Preview: Hudson Cobras vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

Hudson hasn't had much luck against Nature Coast Tech recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cobras will challenge the Sharks at 6:30 p.m. Nature Coast Tech took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hudson, who comes in off a win.

While Hudson's win against Gulf wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cobras skirted past the Buccaneers 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won four in a row.

Gracie Gutierrez looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Hudson's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braelyn Durham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were Durham's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Nature Coast Tech came up short against Citrus on Tuesday and fell 5-2. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hudson picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Nature Coast Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Hudson couldn't quite finish off Nature Coast Tech in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 9-7. Can the Cobras avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
