Baseball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian lost against Shepherd back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brady Bowen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Shepherd, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5-1 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will challenge St. Louis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sharks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.73 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Shepherd, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gladwin at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bluejays 3.8, the Flying G's 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
