Basketball Game Preview: Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders vs. Okaw Valley Timberwolves + How To Watch

The Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders and the Okaw Valley Timberwolves will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Arthur-Okaw Christian came up short against Calvary Christian Academy and fell 36-26. The game marked the Conquering Riders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Arthur-Okaw Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Herschberger posted 13 points and four steals. That was a full 50% of the Conquering Riders' points, marking the third time in a row Herschberger has had more than a third of the team's points.

Okaw Valley hadn't beaten Cerro Gordo/Bement on the road since January 24, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Timberwolves came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 52-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for Okaw Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Arthur-Okaw Christian took their win against Okaw Valley in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 47-22 score. In that matchup, the Conquering Riders amassed a halftime lead of 27-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
