Football Recap: Gallatin County Takes a Loss

Gallatin County extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They took a blow against the Beechwood Tigers, falling 56-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

As for Beechwood, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.9 points on average over those games.

Beechwood was led to victory by Tyler Fryman and Brody Aylor. Fryman gained 80 total yards and three touchdowns, while Aylor rushed for 71 yards and two scores on only seven carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gallatin County will face off against Owen County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beechwood, they will challenge Bracken County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Polar Bears' defense has only allowed 14.1 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
