Preview: Neodesha Blue Streaks vs. West Elk Patriots
Neodesha is 0-3 against West Elk since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Neodesha Blue Streaks will face off against the West Elk Patriots at 7:00 p.m.
Neodesha couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a rough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Fredonia on Friday. Neodesha has not had much luck with Fredonia recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, West Elk had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 53-29 margin over Oswego.
West Elk's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Uriah Tillapaugh, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maddex Moreno, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Neodesha's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for West Elk, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Neodesha came up short against West Elk when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 40-35. Can Neodesha avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
