Football Recap: Newark/Marion Comes Up Short

Newark/Marion lost against Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Newark/Marion received a blow as they fell 34-20 to Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton. Newark/Marion just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.

Defeat or not, Newark/Marion got some senior leadership from Darrien Streeter and Ki'Marion Woolfolk. Streeter gained 146 total yards and a touchdown, while Woolfolk picked up 87 receiving yards and two scores. Woolfolk has become a key player for Newark/Marion: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Newark/Marion's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.
