Baseball Game Preview: Bartlett Bulldogs vs. Goldthwaite Eagles

For the second straight game, Bartlett will face off against Goldthwaite. The Bulldogs will welcome the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bartlett will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Bartlett is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Goldthwaite 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 9, 2024.

For Goldthwaite's part, Isak Rainlend put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Rainlend was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Rainlend wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aidyn Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Goldthwaite's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Bartlett, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.
