Preview: Plano Reapers vs. Marengo Indians

Plano has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Marengo Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Plano focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.

On Monday, Plano's game was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 46-33 victory over Richmond-Burton.

Josie Larson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Plano's points. Another player making a difference was Aleksa Martinez, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Marengo waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Rockford Christian by a score of 50-43. That's two games straight that Marengo has won by exactly seven points.

The victory got Plano back to even at 12-12. As for Marengo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Plano, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-34 loss to Marengo in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Plano avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
