Recap: Harmony School of Discovery Tigers vs. Danbury Panthers
Sadly, the Harmony School of Discovery Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season after 14 contests. They fell 52-44 to Danbury on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harmony School of Discovery in their matchups with Danbury: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alfonso Chaparro, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Chaparro hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. Adedayo Adelakum was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Mason Mitchell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Danbury, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mitchell has scored at least a third of Danbury's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Flora, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Harmony School of Discovery's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Danbury, their victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-26.
Harmony School of Discovery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Danbury also has no future games currently scheduled.
