Wilmington extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 11-9 in the process. They blew past the Cranberry Area Berries 11-1. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Wilmington got a great performance from Tristen Jones as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The Greyhounds are 5-1 when Jones allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise.
At the plate, Chase Mitcheltree was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Wygant, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
