Jersey Village has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cypress Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cypress Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Northbrook 7-1 last Friday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won six in a row.
Ariel Arambula made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Arambula was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Priscilla Garza was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Edelin Barrios, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Cypress Ridge's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Jersey Village, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Jersey Village took their win against Cypress Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3. Will Jersey Village repeat their success, or does Cypress Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
