Football Recap: Yamhill-Carlton Takes a Loss

Yamhill-Carlton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 20-7 to the Warrenton Warriors. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Yamhill-Carlton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Warrenton, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Yamhill-Carlton will face off against North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Warrenton, they will square off against Banks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
