Basketball Recap: South Fremont Takes a Loss

South Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 54-42 to the Snake River Panthers. The Cougars lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-34 score last time.

South Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Snake River, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Fremont will take on Ririe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Snake River, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sugar-Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Sugar-Salem has won six straight at home, while Snake River won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
