Soccer Recap: High Point Central Comes Up Short

High Point Central lost against Atkins back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bison lost 9-0 to the Camels. While losing is never fun, High Point Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 507th, while Atkins are ranked 144th).

High Point Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14-4. As for Atkins, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 14-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. High Point Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Southern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Atkins will challenge rival Rockingham County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
