Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. Andrews-Sewanee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Notre Dame). They claimed a resounding 74-23 win over the St. Andrews-Sewanee Mountain Lions. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Notre Dame was led to victory by Gaas Herman and Walt Wagnon. Herman posted 15 points, while Wagnon had 14 points. Herman's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Campbell, who earned ten points.

Notre Dame's win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-11. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Notre Dame will square off against Knoxville Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Knoxville Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Notre Dame likes a good challenge. St. Andrews-Sewanee has already played their next match (against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
