Recap: Ocean Springs vs. Murrah
After having lost a blowout to Madison Central in their previous game, Ocean Springs was happy to find some success on Friday. Ocean Springs were fully in charge, breezing past Murrah 49-6. That result is just more of the same for Ocean Springs, who also won the last time these teams played.
Ocean Springs's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Murrah came up with 6 to make it 28-6 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Ocean Springs in the second half and held Murrah to 0 points. The win bumped Ocean Springs's record up to 1-2. Murrah are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Ocean Springs will look to defend their home turf next week against George County at 7:00 PM. Murrah have some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next contest, which is against Jim Hill at 7:00 PM in two weeks.
