Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Takes a Loss

Shenandoah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside Bulldogs. The Mustangs lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-30 score last time.

Shenandoah's record is now 7-14. As for Riverside, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will venture away from home to challenge Clarinda on Monday. Shenandoah is facing Clarinda at the right time seeing as Clarinda is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Riverside, they will head out to take on Sidney on Monday. One thing working in Sidney's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matches.
